Rethinking the Book

Inkling is an intriguing startup that is busily engineering a new approach to ‘reading’.

They have a three-pronged offering:

• Collaborative authoring through a globally deployed platform;
• An e-reading platform that works in new granular entities and allows for;
• An open approach to purchase that breaks a work into smaller individually purchasable parts

Together, Inkling Habitat offers a fresh approach, asking basic questions about how we engage with knowledge. I wish they supported more platforms, but I am sure that will change as they mature. There’s an ever-growing offering of works, and for those who are looking into how the digital continues to evolve our relationship with data and knowledge, Inkling is one to watch.
